1.What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Some are essential for a site to work; others help the owner understand how it’s used. Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations we need your consent for anything that isn’t strictly necessary.
2.Essential cookies
These are needed for the site to work and are always on. They aren’t used to track you.
| Name | Purpose | Lasts |
|---|---|---|
sb-<project>-auth-token (may be split into .0, .1) | Keeps you signed in. Set by our sign-in provider, Supabase, only when you sign in. | Until you sign out, up to 400 days |
sb-<project>-auth-token-code-verifier | Secures the sign-in link you request, so only your browser can complete it. | Until you finish signing in |
umg_consent | Remembers your cookie choices so we don’t ask on every page. | 6 months |
3.Optional cookies
These are off unless you turn them on. We don’t use any third-party analytics or advertising yet; the table shows what will apply if we do.
| Name | Category | Purpose | Lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
umg_viewer | Analytics | A random identifier so a Rev or thread counts one view per browser for visitors who aren’t signed in. First-party only; never shared. | 1 year |
_ga, _ga_<id> | Analytics | Google Analytics: distinguishes visitors and sessions to report on how the site is used. Not in use yet. | Up to 2 years |
| Advertising cookies | Advertising | Would let ad partners measure or personalise adverts. Not in use, and we have no plans to add them without updating this page. | Not applicable |
When Google Analytics runs, Google LLC acts as our processor, and data may be transferred to the United States under the safeguards described in our privacy policy.
4.Other storage on your device
The Revs player stores whether you muted the sound (revs:muted) in your browser’s local storage, so your choice sticks between visits. It never leaves your device, and you can clear it in your browser settings.
If you open your membership card, a small script (a service worker) keeps a copy of the card page on your device so it still opens without signal. The copy is deleted when you sign out from that device.
5.Your choices
Use Cookie settings at the bottom of any page, or the button at the top of this one, to accept or reject optional cookies. If you withdraw consent, we stop setting them and remove the ones we can. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though blocking essential cookies will stop you signing in.
